The very popular Kobra is a gypsy and drum windlass in a horizontal configuration with the gearbox above deck and reversing motor below deck. The rope drum can be operated independently of the gypsy.
The anchor can be lowered electrically or manually by releasing the clutch on the gypsy. The anchor can also be raised manually if needed, in fact the whole windlass can be used manually in emergency.
Supplied complete with handle and control box. Switches need to be ordered seperately.
