High quality synthetic grease for underwater applications. It is very sticky and stays put as long as you don't overtighten the keep plate.

Beware of using alternative greases for seacocks, they will not last the course.

If your seacock is jammed and won't turn, DO NOT force it or hit the handle with a hammer. Get a lift out or go aground and work from the outside at low water. You can drift the plug from the outside using a suitable small bung and tapping gently with a mallet to unstick it. (After first removing the keep plate of course!)
