We have been using them for the last ten years to great effect to keep our sail loft clean, control the spread of oil in our workshop and chandlery, as well as at home and onboard. First used by the Scandanavian fishing fleet and later adopted for use on offshore rigs, the tufting of millions of cotton fibres is designed to capture heavy dirt and moisture.  They are made in UK to withstand a heavy workload, have a non-slip backing and of course are machine washable.
