What is motion sickness and how is it caused?
Motion sickness occurs when the inner ear, the eyes, and other areas of the body that detect motion, send unexpected or conflicting messages to the brain. One part of your balance-sensing system (your inner ear, vision, and sensory nerves that help you keep your balance) may sense that your body is moving, while the other parts do not sense motion. For example, if you are in the cabin of a moving ship, your inner ear may sense the motion of big waves, but your eyes don't see any movement. This leads to a conflict between the senses and results in motion sickness.
How do the glasses work?
The glasses unique design enables your eye to receive this missing 'movement' information. The blue liquid inside the ringed frame follows the movement of your body. The brain receives the information it needs and the sickness is avoided. This movement is recorded by your peripheral vision only and therefore done not impede on central 'foveal' vision.
When and how should they be worn?
Put them on when you feel queasy (not before) and take them off when feeling better. Repeat as needed. You should not take Stugeron or any other over the counter medicine at the same time. Boarding Ring Glasses are worn like normal glasses and can be used over ophthalmic and sunglasses.

Here's what one user had to say about them:
Hi Guy & Paul, I own an Arvor boat and am mad keen on fishing. Paul you have kindly printed a few pictures of my kids in Sea Angler magazine. Sea sickness has been the blight of my life- and I am emailing to let you know that the anti motion sickness glasses have cured it seemingly for good. I noticed an immediate improvement and now I have no sea sickness at all. I can tie knots, look at the GPS, enter data etc without that awful lurching vomity feeling. My brain has adjusted to motion at sea and I can remove the glasses now for periods too. Guy- if you are interested in publicising these glasses (Paul they work like a spirit level with a bubble which orientates the visual messages to the brain and aligns with the balance in the ears) – they were in the April SA mag I think. I would be happy to write an article for you. On my experience with the glasses. By the way I have removed the plastic lenses and just look straight through the frames- I look pretty mad- but who cares – I’m fishing and not puking. Paul do you think this should be in the boat section of the mag- It could help an awful lot of people and also help business for charter boats. I am not connected to guy or his business- I am just a customer ... All the best B D

- certainly did the trick
So far so good, they certainly did the trick on the one occasion I used them, and will definitely use them this season.

- they do exactly what it says
These glasses do indeed work. We are in our early 60s and my husband has suffered from chronic travel sickness all his life. Amongst other restrictions, as divers, this made our boat diving experiences interesting to say the least and he was sick on every occasion. Over the years we have tried everything, local recommendations, prescription, homeopathic the lot, to no avail, so we were understandably sceptical when we saw the glasses for sale at the dive show. Thankfully we were wrong, they do exactly what it says. Even only wearing them only three or four times a year on our holidays whilst diving and as a passenger on airport transfers he has found that they certainly do work and although he still starts to feel nauseous, wearing the glasses intermittently as per the directions works and takes away the feelings of nausea, he has not actually been sick since we purchased them.

- worked for me
- wore them in anger when being chased across the North Sea by Hurricane Bertha in August 2014, Certainly helped me!
- Made her feel better
- Went for a sail yesterday in very light winds and a slight sea state. Anna tried the anti-seasickness glasses and, as much as she hates to admit it, said they actually made her feel better even though she only put them on when she was already feeling funny.
