Goods and Services
Storrar Marine Ltd provides equipment and supplies for marine and industrial applications. Products manufactured by Storrar Marine Ltd such as custom rigging, sails and canvas work are covered by a warranty from Storrar Marine Ltd. Other products we offer are subject to warranties issued by the manufacturer. In either case Storrar Marine Ltd are not liable beyond the purchase price of the product or service supplied. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Prices on our website are in pounds sterling including VAT, errors and omissions excepted. If you are outside UK, but VAT registered in the EC, you will be able to buy at the ex-VAT price provided you contact us with your VAT number. If the delivery address for your order is outside of the EC, VAT will be deducted automatically. To determine the ex VAT price divide the published prices by 1.2. We reserve the right to alter prices without notice. Prices do not include delivery which will be calculated and shown at the time of ordering.
Payment is taken at the time of placing the order via Sagepay or PayPal. As card payments for online orders is made via Sagepay, which is an extremely secure web payment system, Storrar Marine Ltd do not have any access to your card details.
Vouchers issued as part of a special offer are not transferable and may not be used to offset the cost of electronics products or outboard motors. Vouchers purchased as gift vouchers are transferable. All vouchers may be exchanged for products only and not exchanged for cash.
When you place an order, Storrar Marine Ltd accepts this as an invitation to purchase only. Any confirmation of receipt of your order is not a guarantee that the goods will be supplied. Storrar Marine Ltd reserve the right to cancel your order if we have insufficient stock, cannot deliver to the specified delivery address, or the product was listed at an incorrect price. Every effort is made to ensure that prices shown on our website are accurate at the time you place your order. If an error is found, Storrar Marine Ltd will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling your order. If you cancel, Storrar Marine Ltd will refund or re-credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods.
Where part of an order has already been delivered, this does not mean Storrar Marine Ltd is obliged to supply outstanding products if they fall into the above categories. Every reasonable care has been taken to ensure that the descriptions are accurate, however with constant product development, specifications may change without notice.
Where products are in stock you should expect delivery within 3 working days if mainland UK excluding Highlands and Islands. If goods are not in stock and delivery is going to be longer than 30 days Storrar Marine Ltd will contact you to discuss options. For next day delivery the cut-off time is 2pm. Orders received after 2pm will be despatched the following day for delivery the day after.
Storrar Marine Ltd will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. We cannot deliver Flares outside of mainland UK. We cannot economically ship hazardous materials outside of mainland UK. If your purchase includes a gas inflating lifejacket we can send it overseas only by first removing the gas bottle. You will have to find a local source to replace this bottle for the lifejacket to function. We cannot send re-arm kits overseas. We cannot send other hazardous goods including liferafts, paint and antifouling overseas without first getting a special delivery quotation. For delivery outside the EC, you must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation, including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase goods from our site. You will be responsible for payment of any import duties and taxes. The importation or exportation of certain types of goods to you may be prohibited by certain national laws. Storrar Marine Ltd make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the export or import of the goods you purchase.
If the package(s) arrives damaged you must sign for it as such otherwise you will not be able to claim for damaged goods. Any damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
Any short deliveries must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
All calls to our 0191 646 1000 number will be charged at standard rates. Email from us that you may print is considered as a durable medium under the distance selling regulations and Storrar Marine Ltd may provide information by email, post or fax. You may contact us at any time by emailing email@example.com.
You will become the owner of the goods you ordered and responsible for risk of loss of or damage to them once they have been delivered to you.
After receiving products from us you have up to 7 working days to decide if you want to return them. If Storrar Marine Ltd do not hear from you within that time then our contract is concluded. Should you want to return products you must inform us in writing and immediately make arrangements to return them at your risk and cost. We request that you preserve and return the packing materials the product arrived in so that we may re-sell it on receipt and you should note you are responsible for taking reasonable care of the product. If you need to exchange a product such as clothing for a different size you must return them at your risk and cost, and Storrar Marine Ltd will supply the new size free of further charge if the delivery address is mainland UK, not including Highlands and remote areas of Scotland, and provided the returned product is in the as supplied condition.
If Storrar Marine Ltd have supplied an incorrect product then Storrar Marine Ltd are responsible for arranging collection and redelivery.
You may not return custom made products such as rope, rigging, sails or canvas work, or audio or video recordings or computer software which has been unsealed by you. Note that we cannot accept standard Admiralty Navigational Charts back for credit due to the returns policy of the UK Hydrographic Office, unless the charts are damaged in transit or faulty. Electronic charts from C-Map, Garmin or Navionics are programmed to order and are not returnable. Chart Art charts on canvas and unfolded Admiralty charts are also custom made to order and are not returnable.
If you return a Product to us because you have cancelled the contract within the seven day period, Storrar Marine Ltd will process the refund as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the day you have given notice of your cancellation. In this case, Storrar Marine Ltd will refund the price of the Product in full, excluding the cost of sending the item to you. However, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.
Returns for any other reason (for example if you claim that the product is defective), the returned product will be checked and Storrar Marine Ltd will notify you of your refund via email within a reasonable period of time. Storrar Marine Ltd will usually process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the day we confirmed to you via email that you were entitled to a refund for the defective product. Products returned by you because of a defect will be refunded in full, including a refund of the delivery charges for sending the item to you and the cost incurred by you in returning the item to us.
Application and Jurisdiction
By purchasing from Storrar Marine Ltd., you have agreed with the foregoing terms and conditions. Storrar Marine Ltd may change these terms of sale without notice to you in relation to future sales.
These terms of sale and the supply of the goods will be subject to English law, and the English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from the contract.
