At its core, the Amberjack 9.9 XS uses Selva’s precision-built 432 cc OHV 4-stroke engine, tuned to deliver effortless thrust through the 5 000 – 6 000 rpm range. The EFI system continuously monitors air and fuel flow, optimising combustion for instant throttle response, strong acceleration, and minimal fuel use. The lightweight block and precision intake geometry provide excellent torque for quick planing and steady cruising, even with heavier loads. Quiet, smooth, and efficient, it’s ideal for long days on the water where reliability and economy matter most.

The Amberjack 9.9 XS Short Shaft is engineered for strength and portability. Its corrosion-resistant aluminium body is treated with Selva’s multi-layer anti-corrosion coating for protection in both fresh and salt water. The Short Shaft (S) configuration delivers responsive handling and quick thrust for smaller transoms or shallow-draft hulls. The water-cooling system with pump-forced circulation ensures stable operating temperature, while the reinforced gearcase and propeller hub provide quiet, durable transmission. Compact and easy to transport, it’s as practical as it is robust.

EFI technology makes starting effortless—no choke, no priming, just turn and go. The ergonomic tiller handle provides precise throttle control and smooth steering. At roughly 38 kg, it’s light enough for one-person mounting or carrying, while vibration-damping mounts and balanced crankshaft geometry guarantee quiet, comfortable operation.
