The Amberjack 9.9 XSR uses Selva’s 432 cc 2-cylinder 4-stroke engine, upgraded with EFI mapping and XSR tuning to maximise mid-range torque and efficiency. Across the 5 000–6 000 rpm range, the EFI system continuously monitors throttle position, temperature, and load, delivering precise fuel metering for smooth, powerful acceleration and stable idling. The XSR calibration enhances response under load, giving sharper throttle pickup and cleaner combustion. The result is a refined 9.9 HP outboard that’s powerful yet frugal, producing minimal vibration and emissions while maintaining class-leading economy.

Built from corrosion-resistant marine aluminium, the Amberjack 9.9 XSR is both strong and lightweight. The Long Shaft (L) configuration provides deeper propeller immersion, giving better traction and stability on heavier hulls or sailboats. A pump-forced water-cooling system keeps operating temperatures stable during extended use, while Selva’s multi-layer anti-corrosion coating ensures long-lasting protection in saltwater environments. Reinforced gearbox components and precision-machined propeller shafts deliver quiet, efficient power transfer and exceptional reliability over time. EFI eliminates the need for priming or choking—starting is instant every time. The five-position manual trim lets users fine-tune running angle for performance or shallow-water operation, and optional Power Trim/Tilt adds convenience for more demanding applications.
